The seven details that matter
Every one of these changes the time or difficulty of the job, which is why they are asked for:
- Full collection address including postcode
- Full delivery address including postcode
- What is being moved — a rough item list is fine
- Floor number at each end, and whether there is a lift
- Parking or loading situation at both addresses
- Preferred date and rough time window
- Anything unusual: very heavy items, long carry, restricted access
Photos beat descriptions
Two or three photos of the larger items and the hallway or staircase remove nearly all the guesswork. You can send them by text or attach them to the quote form.
What happens next
Once the details are in, you get a straightforward price for the job as described. If something changes — extra items, a different date — say so and the quote is updated rather than adjusted on the day.
